Lone Oaks Angus has built two primary cattle centers, the AI & ET Working Facility and the Sale Barn, as well as numerous fenced cattle pastures, working chutes, and feed stations located throughout the farm.
Lone Oaks has built a Sale Barn specifically for its annual female production sale held the last Saturday in April. The dining room seats 240, plus additional seating on the Patio with fire pit overlooking a pond and on the second floor Mezzanine. The dining room is separated from the sale room, with its permanent sale ring and retractable bleachers, by a two-story structure that offers second floor viewing to both the dining room and the sale room. The center area also includes an office, bathrooms, observation rooms, private phone booths, conference room, and fully equipped commercial kitchen. The Sale Barn is heated and air conditioned for year-round use. Behind the sale room is a covered cattle working area with cattle sorting and holding pens and a herringbone system for loading cows into the sale ring. Outside are permanent viewing pens capable of holding up to 150 animals, connected to a night paddock.
